- Orange County, New York - just 50 miles from New York City, in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
The Orange County Film Office is a division of the Orange County NY Tourism Office. Orange County is one of the most beautiful counties in New York. Approximately 50 miles north of New York City, Orange County offers everything from urban landscapes, historic architecture, beautiful farmland, rolling hills, picturesque villages, tranquil lakes, quaint main streets, the majestic Hudson River on our eastern border, and the beautiful Delaware River on our western border. In addition to scenic locations, we have properties across the county such as empty school buildings, office buildings, old psychiatric centers, and former camps – all waiting to be featured in YOUR next film.
Orange County is situated at the intersection of three significant interstates – the NYS Thruway, Route 17, and Route 84. Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, as well as the smaller Orange County Airport, both allow for easy access by air, and Metro North Railroad and NJ Transit provide train access.
Orange County is also home to state-of-the art sound stages, such as UMBRA of Newburgh. UMBRA is truly the turnkey solution to all your production needs featuring four acoustical stages. Making use of this qualified sound stage will allow production companies to take advantage of New York’s generous 35% tax credit, while giving them access to some of the best locations the state has to offer.
We are easy to get to, easy to work with, and we make it easy to find great locations!
